Mindfulness with Luke Doherty

Introducing the beginning of our special episode series, focusing on themes facing the Legal Industry in general.

This week we’ll be sitting down with Luke Doherty, a Managing Director at Mindful Peak Performance, a non-profit dedicated to sharing a mindfulness-based approach to performance. Luke works with a variety of people, from high profile corporate executives to professional athletes to disadvantaged youths.

In the episode we discuss what exactly Mindfulness is, the toxic effects of hustle culture and its centrality to identity particularly amongst men, and how to use Mindfulness not only to be more in touch with ourselves, but also how to get more in touch with doing what we love.

Outside of the practice area, we discuss both Luke’s own professional journey, from playing rugby for England, becoming a Director for a Charity, becoming a Buddhist, and starting his own mindfulness company; but also Luke’s own personal journey in the background.
